Lights - Camera -Action!

Acting is a skill. Actors come and go, the best ones stay in the race. Wearing makeup day in and day out on your face, rehearsing your lines, getting connected with your role. Ah! that isnt as easy as it sounds.

Lifes a stage, so that makes us all 'Actors' too! We also have to wear make up sometimes - of happiness, smile, cheer, surprise....even if we are broken from inside. We have to rehearse for perfection, to minimise mistakes, to achieve success. We have to get connected totally with our roles - of being - mother, father, brother, sister etc.... Ah! now that isnt as easy as it sounds, either!





I think we take birth on this planet and God just says - Lights -Camera -Action. The rest is left to us. There is rough guideline provided by the society to each one of us about our role. We need to carve, show fine skills and make a sculpture out of it. The Best sculpture makes history. But the ordinary ones, what about them? Being ordinary is no crime. There are ordinary sculptures around so that makes the Best Sculpture THE BEST!

The face we put on in front of a camera, at times, is different from that we have off the camera. Sometimes its need of the hour, sometimes its by choice. Nowadays we have 'Filters' available to hide our blemishes, flaws. We want to look our best in the outside world. But is it necessary? You are who you are! Why disguise and hide your trueself? Believe in yourself, be confident of who you are. Dont under-estimate your strength. If people accept you as you are, only then they are the right ones to be with, else you really dont need people praising your superficial self.

Accept yourself and be happy in your own skin. Your uniqueness is your magic!

    Another great blog ...very sutle and great comparison of real life actors and the celluiloid...also best line is when you are born and God says Light Camera Action...well written Jui

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
