Acting is a skill. Actors come and go, the best ones stay in the race. Wearing makeup day in and day out on your face, rehearsing your lines, getting connected with your role. Ah! that isnt as easy as it sounds. Lifes a stage, so that makes us all 'Actors' too! We also have to wear make up sometimes - of happiness, smile, cheer, surprise....even if we are broken from inside. We have to rehearse for perfection, to minimise mistakes, to achieve success. We have to get connected totally with our roles - of being - mother, father, brother, sister etc.... Ah! now that isnt as easy as it sounds, either! I think we take birth on this planet and God just says - Lights -Camera -Action. The rest is left to us. There is rough guideline provided by the society to each one of us about our role. The Sun is the source of energy for us. It starts our day and continues to light it up, through the night, via Moon. The symbol of sacrifice, it is, burns each day just to create a bright environment for us! Its rays spread all over, dont differentiate between rich and poor, fair and dark, or anything else...... Just makes sure all of us shine and get energised. The Sun always directs our gaze away from itself. It makes us see the life illuminated by it. Sunshine is the best medicine! We should take inspiration from this Morning star. We can be the sunshine to someone, others. To light up the environment we also need to burn, not literally though!...... We need to pave our way through... we need to struggle to reach the skies...we need to rise above the difficulties to come out shining! They say 'keep your face to the Sun and you cant see a shadow'..... Yeah! Always see the bright side... be optimistic! When we see the Sun coming out of the dark clouds, we belie...

This is for my friend Ranjit Kaur (it was her suggestion to draw a butterfly in Madhubani Art, so i did! and also ended up with this article...) & all the other women who I know, are willing to take risks & soar heights! Titli - a butterfly is a symbol of woman, obviously because its beautiful & elegant😜! And moreover being a delicate thing that it is, still bravely venturing each day with a new Josh, new Dreams. Meditation, Vipashyana, Leaving in seclusion......what all do we do for inner peace! Why do we need the Inner peace?...... We would never get peace in outer world until we make peace within ourselves. We feel its the key to stress reduction, right? Once we attain inner peace, things fall into place. We cannot control situations & other people's reactions, so we need to control the things we can control - Our thoughts & feelings! Is it possible? I guess, Yes! It is! Some people get peace of mind on completing tasks, some get when they visit religious places, some chant mantras, shlokas, some listen to music, some opt for creativity - they paint, they compose, they indulge in craft. Once you donot allow another person or event to control your emotions - its the beginning of your journey towards inner peace! Once your journey starts, the more peaceful you are inside, the more peace you have, to share with shares. We should learn to ignore things, other person...

People are always watching, eyeing you. They judge you, they comment, they preach, but do they appreciate? Appreciation- keeps us going, wanting to do more.....A pat on our back, a 'good job' comment, a 'keep it up', a word of encouragement that's all we need to keep going, doing better- what we are doing, knowing that we are on the right track! People's eye will always be there, you decide for yourself!                                                          JUI.

Sometimes life brings us at such crossroads that we need to be cautious & decide to opt the right road. Plumping for a path, randomly, would lead us nowhere. Knowing what ignites your passion, deciding, with your heart to guide you, 'will power' to make hard choices & resist excuses - this may lead to 'your' right path. But beware if you are not excited about it, its not the right path. Some roads may be misleading. They may shine as bright but may not be the best ones. Be Alert! In this journey, we meet several people, on our way. Buddies may be some, some just aquaintances, some come really close & will connect with you, some just not right ones to be with. I am not using the word 'enemy' here, people may be hostile, but why make enemies. I would rather ignore such hostility & move ahead! Sometimes some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost. Its fun right? Once in a while just heading & keep moving, explori...

The more you give the more you get, have you heard of this? Giving money, donations, charity, thats it? No! What about time? What about things/ideas/views that ain't tangible/physical? Yes! time is money, we say. But giving/taking out time for somebody - our family, friends, thats precious than money. Your kids need your time, yes they do, in all walks of life. Your spouse needs your time, 'quality time'. Your parents need your time - just some inquiry about health not their's but yours! Some exchange of words - of love, care & happiness. Your friends need your time - to vent out whats on their mind, to share their joys & sorrows, to have a ear to hear! Giving time would be the 'zenith' of charity, I suppose. We all do live for ourselves but once in a while its fun & learning, to be part of some circle - spending quality time with them. If you give away money in charity, the needy ones will get some food, clothing etc, just once. But t...
