Shopping and me!

Today my friend Anuya introduced me to this new word - 'Oniochalasia' - meaning - shopping as a mechanism to relieve stress or achieve relaxation - And the result is this post!

Who doesnt love shopping, and especially if you are a woman!

Women prefer shopping cause its cheaper than a therapy  😜😜😜😜 - Thats an excuse! We love to shop anywhere, anytime. If we are depressed, the more the urge to shop. I guess instead of eating in depression, its better to shop. Shopping definitely boasts our feel-good hormones. Serotonin levels rise up once we hit the shopping mall! Eating would make us gain weight but shopping - you walk, you stand for hours, you forget that you are hungry. Ah! now thats a 2-in-1 solution - antidepressant and weight loss regime.

We dont always shop only when depressed. We also shop if we are happy - when its an ADD TO CART kinda day! If you want to know a Woman - the easiest way would be to go shopping with her. right?

I came across this quote the other day - "Shortest Horror Story : SOLD OUT". Thats how we women are and thats our equation with shopping. You will never hear a woman say " I have enough clothes. I dont need to go shopping" - Never! Shopping is the best medicine for us.

Be it online or physical, we can shop in any situation. Actually we are not shopaholics, we are contributing to country's economy...😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅!

Shopping is also an art! Everybody doesnt have this skill. Some are impulsive shoppers, some spend the whole day yet dont buy anything - saying they dint like nothing. Some are 'tag watchers' - they dont splurge unnecessarily, some feel shopping is their cardio, some feel shopping is a passtime. Some work hard to shop harder.

Women like their money right where they can see it - "hanging in their closets"....😂
We shop all our lives still have nothing to wear. Playing 'dress-up game' starts at five or six and never actually ends. Nothing haunts us like the things we dint buy. We could be stressed - depressed but we make sure we are well-dressed!

To sum it up - Shopping and Woman is a balanced equation. And I would now wrap-up my write-up cause a birdy just whispered in my ears that theres a sale in my neighbouring mall, 😄 ...so catch you up later!

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many.
