The Dreamcatcher!
I was always amazed by this concept of dreamcatcher! A dreamcatcher was originally hung over a cradle for protection of babies. Yes it is now used as a Charm - they say the dreamcatcher catches dreams for you. It filters out the negative vibes and lets the positivity in. That's why we hung it on our windows or balconies.
Our bad dreams become hopelessly entangled in the woven web, all through the night until the light of the morning sun burns them away.
With this dreamcatcher, we enter into a world that is entirely our own - our good dreams that we own. Yes ofcourse for this you have to believe in your dreams, you have to take that leap of faith, you have to commit yourself to it. Only then, will your dreams become reality.
When I look at a dreamcatcher, its intrigue design of web, hoop, threads, feathers - I feel that each one has its story. I perceive the web as our complicated thoughts, and the hoop as our brain/mind. We consciously - subconsciously keep on thinking and weaving this web inside the hoop with threads of our thoughts. Then at some point our positive mind interrupts and leaves a gap in this web. Thus, makes a space for fresh air, calmness to get in.
Then theres our playful/happy mind which adds these light, colourful feathers - happy/cheerful thoughts. And Tadaaa that sums up to a fascinating piece of art! Ready to be hung and displayed. For you to create hope - a fresh trigger to start your day anew!
They say a dream is a wish your heart makes - and I would like to add - "this dream comes true when your mind decides to play the right games at right time!
JUI.
