Sawan mei lag gayi aag!

The long weekend was getting closer and my mobile didn't stop beeping! The notification numbers were increasing like a running Taximeter. Finally, I picked up the fone.100 notifications?

I opened the WhatsApp, all the notifications were from my Wonderwomen (that's our girls group).

Anisha: Hi girls! Monsoons are here..☔.... Let's welcome Monsoons with a ladies night out this long weekend. πŸ‘―‍♀️πŸ‘―‍♀️πŸ‘―‍♀️

Dhwani: Yay! am in....πŸ’ƒ..kids?
Anisha: No kids! Only girls.
Vama: Will confirm in few minutes.

Prerna: What's the plan? Bookings?
Alia: Arey yaar! How can I leave my lil one? She's hardly two. Tumhare bacche badey hai yaar. Woh nai rahegi, without me.

Anisha: Ek din adjust karo na!
Vama: Girls am in...but meri chhoti wali bhi nahi rahegi akeli...will get her.
Prerna: Lekin plan kya hai? kaha jaye?

Anisha: Have short listed some good places. Sharing the links, have a look. It's our 1st night out. So yahi Lonavla jaate hai. In case wapas ana padey to will be easy. Monsoons and Lonavla are synonymous!😜 Let's enjoy the Sawan!

Dhwani: Yay am in! kahi bhi le chalo yaar....just need a break... Last week my other friend from school, her gang went out. Wow! kya pics thi yaar...Waterfalls pe gaye the!πŸ₯°πŸ˜˜
And 90 more messages read✅

Me: Galz! am in....😘.....πŸ‘œπŸŽ’πŸ›Chalo!

Finally, we all decided on a place, 'Cloud 9', in Lonavla. We booked a bungalow with 3 bedrooms, a huge living area, a projector room and a swimming pool. "Ahh! A monsoon trip, with girls", I was already excited for our 1st ladies Monsoon Night out!

Anisha, most enthusiastic person in the group (she's the one who makes most of our plans, even now!), got her car. We all hoped in with our bags and two girls with their lil girls.
The Monsoon does some magic to the nature! Stopping by wherever we saw beautiful scenery, clicking pictures for memories, getting drenched in the drizzles, we finally reached our destination.

Cloud 9 was literally covered in clouds. It was a beautiful property. Our bungalow was quite secluded, so we were happy that no one's gonna disturb us (rather no one's gonna get disturbed because of us!). One of us, yelled, "Yay! We are free birds"..other shouted, "Feels like we are back to college"....The bungalow was filled with  our giggles. And we settled in the verandah with hot ginger tea and pakodas, to top with it, some spicy chats!

We made plans - Let's swim, then sing and dance! We didn't even finish planning and it started raining heavily! "Ah! Swimming cancel...1st plan ki Taai taai fish!".. We thought.

Vama: Yaar meri bacchi ko bhook lagi hai...let's order something to eat. Alia What bout your daughter? kya khaegi?

While they were deciding on what to order, our Miss Enthu, Anishaji changed into a beautiful one piece. And started with her photos session. She had actually attained an expertise of "Posing right"- Google crash course! Some poses in the verandah, some near the pool, some with umbrellas...etc..etc

I joined in her too! Actually we all are attracted to the camera, in the same way, ants are to sugar! We had 100s of pics clicked, under the guidance of Anisha, the pro.

Now was the time for our 2nd plan. We put on some good music, changed into disco wear and turned the living room into dance floor. The lil girls were enjoying watching us dance. After sometime, they had dinner and feel asleep.
So, we switched off the Mom Mode and started to go into Trance Mode. To enhance this mode we decided to try some cocktail drinks. None of us actually was into drinking, but we had decided to give it a try. Pata nai fir kab mouka mile? Then one of us said "Yaar, hookah try karte hai!". Everyone agreed. So along with food, came in the drinks and the hookah.

We all were excited about our brand new experiment. Vama said, "I have tried pehle bhi, kuch nai hota, glass uthao apne apne......Cheers girls..to our 1st night out...and many more to come!". Alia said, "Keep me out, you girls go ahead".
We all clinked our glasses and took a sip. Everyone had weird expressions on their faces. Alia kept her fone ready to click. None of us really liked the taste but we decided to keep drinking.
Now was the time for hookah. We distributed the mouth tips and began our mission. Anisha, passed it to Vama,  passed it to me, passed it to Dhwani..to Prerna...Prerna exhaled rings.... Wow she's a pro....We shouted and clapped. The second round of drinks and we entered the Tipsy Mode ..... Vama decided to go out in the rains with her glass. She opened the huge glass doors of the living room, pushed aside the curtains. Prerna followed her. Anisha and me confused, looking at each other, thinking Should we stop them? What if they fall into the pool? Dhwani put the hookah down. While going out Prerna's foot tripped from the hookah pipe. Her glass fell down, drink on the floor. Burning coal from hookah fell on the drink, caused a fire.....the curtain tips started to burn too. Only Alia was perfectly in her senses, she brought a bucket full of water and splashed over the curtain. The fire went off.

Hushhh! We all sat down with weirder expressions on our faces. Alia again got her fone to click us some more. We all got to our senses and figuring out what exactly happened, guffawed at our foolishness.

And the second moment keeping our glasses down, speakers volume turned to full.....we started to dance on the then hit number..."Sawan mei lagg gayi aag.....!".
