Is it really ok?

 The subtle(?) discriminations that happen in and around us everyday, don't they ever make you think if it is really okay?

Scenario 1:

"I'm sure it's a woman driving ahead of us", he says,

"Look how she's driving, she don't know the ways",

"I'm a woman and I drive too", says she,

Grins and winks at her, he......

Scenario 2:

Mrs. Batra: Her husband has an affair,

Mrs. Ahuja: I know, as she's not good looking and fair,

Mrs. Batra: He has lost interest, obviously,

Mrs. Ahuja: That's why she behaves cautiously.......

Scenario 3:

Mom: Don't talk to him at school,

Son: But why mom? He is so cool,

Mom: His class is not at par with our status,

Whom you make friendships with, matters....

Scenario 4:

CEO Dad: You cannot marry him,

Daughter: Dad, but I love him,

Dad: He is just a poor employee,

Your future, you want to destroy?

Scenario 5:

"We will let you know", said the boy's mother,

Boy whispers: Why mom? I liked her. What's the matter?

Mom: She is so plump and chubby,

You are fit and handsome, not a good pair it would be.....

Scenario 6:

You cannot apply for the job,

You are physically disabled, the results will slop,

Instead, you can open a photocopy shop,

Corporate post? that idea you should  just drop.....

Scenario 7:

He: Hey chinky, what's your name?

Are you from China dame?

She: I'm an Indian from North-east mister,

He:Then what's with your eyes sister?

Scenario 8:

I don't like her, she's a geek,

She would never fight back, she's weak,

What will she know about looking good,

Ignore her, don't spoil the mood....

Scenario 9:

She: Sir, I've finalised the presentation before time,

Let me present it, it's hard-work of mine,

Boss: No, let Mr.Man do it, he's competent,

I don't want any mistakes lady, this is important.....

Scenario 10:

I told you to stay away from that boy,

He is not an upper class guy,

We would never accept this alliance,

It's a marriage not a convenience.....

Don't you feel that you've heard of or gone through any of the above scenarios?

A widow cannot attend traditional functions of the family, a menstruating lady has to stay in isolation, a divorcee is looked down upon, is it okay?

Discrimination on the basis of gender, class, status, race, caste, looks and sexual orientation, is it really okay?
