You are my sunshine.....my only sunshine!

Have you been intimidated by a confident face, with a honeyed smile and a sanguine walk, across genders?

Well, that's what I was! Yes, when I first saw him. He got down from his car and yes, the sanguine walk, the honeyed smile and confidence on his face. Not that he wanted to intimidate me, not that I was scared. But that kind of intimidation, you know, where you feel, Woah! he's out of my league.

I fell for him then and there, but talking to him, was the big dilemma.

Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai....something of that sort happened and we both fell in love.

From intimidation to getting smittened to loving to being together, sums up our journey. And as if in Norway, where the sun doesn't set, the luminescence of Northern lights is set upon me, since!

Yes, he is my sunshine...my only sunshine. He makes me happy even when the skies are grey. He makes me laugh on silliest of his jokes. By now I can predict his jokes too, yet he manages to get out that chuckle.

He doesn't shower me with gifts every now and then, but he surprises me with unexpected little things that he does. He would buy me a jasmine gajra on a random day. He would order my favourite food, not because I am annoyed after a fight or something, but just like that. We never say sorry to each other. We quarrel, we take our own time to calm down, we converse, we sort it out and we patch up.

We could be running our rat races on individual front but when together, we take our own time to complete the marathon, hand in hand.

When I am feeling low, it's not always that he asks me What's the matter? He would give me some space, for me to heal and even then if he finds me in blues, he will colour me pink, with his love.

I love to be his white canvas, wherein he fills me up with multitudes of tints, brights and pastels, tinctures and tones of his personality colliding with mine, making a unique masterpiece.

When he gets angry, well, this sun rarely heats up, but when he does, he makes it loud and clear. Similar to the clouds thundering in monsoons. But just like one shower of rains cools down the earth, his anger vanishes when I kiss him gently or for that matter, even if I cook his favourite food item....

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach....right? Yes, precisely!

On darker nights, when visibility gets blur and my life's ship is imperiled, he leads me on like a light house. His encouraging words give strength to overcome the high tides, his willingness to subdue the waves of hardships, makes us sail through.

I wish this boat of ours remains afloat, filled with love, trust and understanding, basking in the beams of sunshine!

#Fiction

I have tried to gather all applausable qualities of men around, be it my husband or husbands of my friends, and poured it in one, to make a complete man, every woman would want him to be by her side...and make him, her sunshine!
