2. Ki and Ka.

"The marinated chicken is in the freezer, please take it out, I forgot to do it", Radha puckered her lips and said.

"Don't worry darling, just go and rock the meeting", Rohit winked, handing over the tiffin to Radha.

Radha planted the usual byewala kiss on Rohit's cheek. "Have a fun day", she said as she left for work.

Rohit closed the door of the living room. He had to fry the chicken and remove the rice from the cooker. It was Tuesday and  Radha had only veg food on that day. So Rohit had cooked veg biryani for her tiffin.

But kids wanted chicken and so Radha had marinated it a night prior.

Kids were ready and went to school.

Rohit did the vacuum cleaning, put clothes in the washing machine, sprayed sufficient amount of liquid cleaner on the utensils in the sink. The maid was on leave today. So he washed the utensils, dryed the clothes on the rack, folded the done laundry.

He arranged all the scattered books in kids' room. Dusted their table, chairs. Changed the bedsheets.

Rohit's phone buzzed. "Babu you forgot to give me a hand towel today", it was Radha's call. "It's there Radha, just look properly yaar", Rohit replied. "Not a problem dear, there are tissue papers here. But kya karun? I am so used to your organised lunch box that I couldn't believe you forgot something ", she smirked.

"So how was the biryani?", Rohit inquired. "Yummm! I always felt that biryani cannot be a veg dish but you changed the opinion for me", Radha replied. "Got the recipe from Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor, the other day. So tried it. See you liked it and you were all reluctant to have it in the morning", Rohit argued.

Rohit wrapped up his chores and waited for Radha to return.

Radha got off work and sat in the car....Ah! There you are...she picked the hand towel from the passenger seat.

She reached home. They had masala tea together. "Wish there were pakodas with this", Radha said. "Was going to fry some but did you forget? We have a housewarming party to attend tonight?", Rohit arched his eyebrows.

"Oh Yes! What do I wear Rohit? The pink dress that you gave me on our last anniversary?", Radha's eyes beamed.

"You look beautiful in any colour, wear anything you want", Rohit winked at her.

She kissed him and the door bell rang. Kids were back from tuition classes.

Kids had their early dinner. They instructed the kids to lock the door and drove for the party.

"You look gorgeous in pink", said the colleague's wife to Radha.

"And don't I look daper in this shirt?", Rohit intervened, chuckling.

They all had a good laugh. "So what do you do Mr. Rohit?", asked the colleague.

"I am a home maker", Rohit replied with a big smile on his face.

A by-listener grinned and interposed, "What? A house husband. Isn't it a bit too much...".

But before he could further shame her husband...."Yes! He takes care of our kids and me and the whole house. I can be at ease and do my work just because I know he's there looking after all that I can't. And he's a fantastic painter. He teaches to paint and sketch. He has lots of happy students", Radha added, proudly.

The colleague and his wife were amazed. They look so happy in this set up too, they both thought.

Radha held Rohit's hand tightly and leaned on his shoulder. "Thanks for having my back, always", she blew a kiss. Rohit caressed her hair and said, "Likewise dear!".
