A platform that gave me new identity.

 We have friends, and then we have a camaraderie. "You like writing; why don't you try this platform called Momspresso?" said my friend Ranjeet Kaur. And I downloaded this app. "There's a pool of talent in here. "How am I going to match these accomplished writers?" is my soliloquy. Then, I keep reading some of the blogs, poetry, and short stories to get acquainted with what Momspresso is all about. 

Dr. P Jones' blog blows my mind. "Oh! She's a genius," I thought. She is one of my first bloggers, whose blog I comment on. 


I post some of my pre-written blogs under suitable prompts. not knowing what the upshot will be. But when I find out that the number of readers is increasing, it's bewildering for me. I continue to write, I continue to post, and I continue to check my status. 


"How do I paste a link to the blog?" I am in a fix. And my friend Deepa Vishal rushed to my aid. She helps me with the technicalities, as well as supports me with her encouraging words for my blogs and poetry. We bond so well that she becomes a Maitrin (Marathi for friend).



Ranjeet Kaur, Urmila Shetty, Dr. Latha, Priya Washikar, Rama Mahajani, Ramya Vivek, Dr. Surbhi, Chanpreet, and so many friends at Momspresso keep giving me input for my blogs and poetry to make them better. And I get a feeling of being "at home" now. 


Comments and suggestions from all of these comrades helped me take tiny steps, then strides, and then leaps. 


Some ideas and thoughts behind the stories and blogs are mind-boggling. "Why didn't I think of this?" was my reaction. I know I have to reach higher levels yet. But the happiness I get from writing every day for wonderful prompts that make me brainstorm is of a superlative degree. 


There are times when I face "writer's block. I want to attempt so many prompts, but at times my mind goes blank. Then, again, I read some fabulous articles in here; it boosted my confidence and made me want to work harder to compose and compile. 

I have received so much love on this platform. I have made new friends and buddies and shared my heart out through my stories. 


Momspresso started this concept of sending money to the articles you like. And that was my first earning as a writer. My first earned money for my write up is from my dear friend Sonika Lowe.You have no idea Sonika, how much I owe you. Gratitude dear!


The appreciation and impetus that I find here are addictive and make me want more. 


This platform has given me a new identity as not just a blogger or writer, but as part of a community that wants women to be autonomous, free to express themselves and equally applaud other women.




A big thank you for coming into my life, dear Momspresso. Wishing you a happy 12th! and many more to come.


Momspresso has become my prime mover, who is the initial source of my motive power, as energy is the prime mover of everything we see and know!

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. She saw an old lady taking rounds, walking slowly, but with vigour. The tree was shedding it's aged golden leaves. One such tanned foliole fell beside Yuga on the bench. What's your plan?

 "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many.
