Brimful shouldn't be void....(Scarcity)

 Water they say is in abundance. 70% of earth is made-up of water. Our body has 70% water.

Water is life. But will it be the same. Abundance will soon become scarcity, the way water is being wasted.


My tiny effort in the form of poetry, to highlight the importance of water conservation. Hope you agree!


Water is life, we all know the axiom,

But presuming it will be available for eons,

Don't make this mistake, dear human,

Without water the earth will no longer be heaven....


Water takes the form it flows through,

Wears away the stones on the way, is also true,

Wasting the flowing water consciously, 

Ignoring its significance, incuriously.....



There's water logging when it rains cats and dogs,

Overflowing gutters, drainages it clogs,

Availability of water in plenitude,

Shouldn't change our usage attitude.....



Rain harvesting, storage of water,

In the long run, all this will matter,

Drip irrigation, sprinklers, to the aid,

Flourishing plants that are well fed.....



Close the taps when you brush,

Pause and carry on, what's the rush?

Take shorter showers, don't let the faucet run,

Check the plumbing, leaks to shun.....



Don't throw away half empty bottle,

Use that water for plants and parched cattle,

Washing your cars every single day,

It's high time you mend your way.....



When the well goes dry, we get to know,

The real gravity of the problem, likeso,

Summers will get harsh and cruel,

Undisputedly, water is man's fuel.....



Lakes, ponds and rivers are beautiful to watch,

Not conserving water, this feeling will poach,

Cutting down the usage, as possible as you can,

Splendid views will be still available to man.......



Lot of blue will let it stay green,

On saving water, everyone should be keen,

Shouldn't come a day, when we've to fight over it,

Taking small steps asap will evidently benefit.....



Let's do our part to save every drop,

Excess and prodigal usage must be stopped,

Energy is conserved along with the ecosystem, 

Let's live in peace and not be a drought victim!

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. What's your plan?

 "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
