Neve have I ever - Tale 3.

Be it dhol-tasha beats during the Ganapati festival or a DJ playing at sangeet night at any wedding. My happy feet can never contain themselves, they involuntarily start jamming with the rhythm.

Never have I ever missed a chance to dance. Even as a child, I used to shake my legs to nursery rhymes, the ones that used to be played on a cassette player, sung by the famous Preeti Sagar. My family used to clap and encourage me every time I swayed and twirled.

Later on I started participating in school gatherings. I choreographed my own dances and also helped my friends with routines. I took tuitions for 'Kathak' style of dance for three years too. I couldn't continue it due to studies and board exams, but that didn't stop me from dancing.

I paired up with friends and participated in dance competitions, in school and even college. This boosted my confidence furthermore.

Well, when it comes to dance, I am a total party animal. People go to clubs to drink, but me, I enjoy the dance. Be it a wedding or friend's birthday, as soon as the speakers throb, my feet move in cadence.

I absolutely believe in 'Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life'.

It makes me forget my worries. It takes me into a trance or may I say rapture? more aptly. It's fun to dance with my people, my family, my friends, to celebrate happiness, to celebrate friendship or just to celebrate being there with each other.

'Dancers don't need wings to fly', absolutely. When my ears catch a musical note my body will quickly respond with my feet tapping, my hands swirling and me almost gliding in the air.

You really don't need to be trained to caper around. It's the chords that struck, make you frisk!

Navratris are my favourite. We friends in college, used to dance the night away to the most authentic Gujrati folk songs. Garba, dandiya, would colour the night in it's hue. Innovating steps, twirling in circles, not stopping even if the feet ached.

I love to dance to express not to impress. I don't bother if anyone is judging me. The captious eyes, never have ever, stopped me from dancing, to a beautiful tune!
