Never have I ever - Tale 1.
"Please show me the answers atleast, will tally to see if they are correct", my classmate requested, before entering the examination hall for Mathematics paper for the boards. He knew that I never copied nor looked around during any of my exams. He read my expressionless face and guessed that I wouldn't be of any help to him.
Well, I believed that I work hard, study hard and follow my own pace. I attempt everything that is in my control. I do not ask for any help or copy during tests or exams, then why should I bother to look around and interpret the faces watching me for assistance. The faces who haven't put their efforts in studying and want to benefit from mine. I am sounding rude...right? Well, nonetheless, I never ever amended my ways regarding 'not copying'.
I remember in grade 5 or 6, we had to share the bench with our seniors, during the examination. So that both of us are attempting different paper and no one would cheat. My neighbour was literally asking me answer to his questions, the ones which I haven't yet studied about. I nodded by head in negation. Then he tried calling out his friend sitting on the bench in the front row. And all this was disturbing me, so I got up and went straight to the teacher. I complained her about the senior's behaviour. She warned him once and said that he would have to leave the classroom if she found him talking again.
My goodness! That senior gave me his angry glances for rest of the year, whenever he crossed paths with me in school. As if, 'Pot calling the kettle black'. Yet, I adhered to my principle.
I am no idol of honesty. When I say 'Never Have I ever copied', it stands true, but for engineering exams, which are altogther on a next level, I have helped my friends by tallying answers of numericals. Helped some to balance their equations, gave hints to some. But 'not copying' still holds good. Also it remains true for copying anybody else. I hate being a facsimile.
I dress up in a certain way, as I want to, and not because something is in trend or somebody is doing it. I am not a brand addict, I do wear clothes bought from streets, a local shop or a mall. I follow my instincts when it comes to cruising through, in my life. I totally believe in 'Be OG, Don't copypaste'.
Even when it comes to writing, I prefer my own style. I have developed my own approach of doing it. I read, I learn, but in the end I do it my way. I may be lagging in many ways than one, but unhurriedly, I am trying to reach there.
Yesterday, I got my first trophy as a winner for Top Blogs Contest at Momspresso. It took, writing, more than 60 blogs for me to win this prestigious position. But I don't mind going by 'Slow and steady wins the race'. I wouldn't copy someone else's modus operandi, as, one size doesn't fit all.
Being unique is all that matters!
