It doesn't matter, really?

 

"In the end it doesn't even matter..." goes the famous song by Linkin Park band. They say that however hard you try, in the end its going to cease to be. 

Well, yes! But does that mean you shouldn't be living at all? People strive their whole lives to be better, to earn more, to be happier, is it all in vain? I don't think so. The phase you are in, you need to enjoy that. Yes it will not be forever but the moment matters. To say it doesn't matter would be harsh. 

People work hard to make a place for themselves, build a dream adobe, decorating it as and when they assimilate some wealth. They want to make sure that there are enough assets created for them to not become liability for others, in the future. Slogging and hustling, they try to move forward as far as they can and until they can endure. Premiums are paid, spending their precious youth, to be able to sustain the senescent years of their lives.

Keeping on living is what we have to do, so why not live with dignity and pride. To age is a privilege they say. Its not a punishment but a reward I would say, given to you for existing with a purpose. May be you won't remember or perhaps you would want to forget the past, the hardships, the perseverance you had. But that doesn't mean it was futile. Memories are made of all these phases we go through, that are going to be with us and they are going to matter. The life we live has meaning, every second of it. Then why not make it more relevant?

Spreading happiness through small gestures, letting people know that you appreciate, having family and friends around, is what will make your life better. And all this in return helps in your late years when those gestures, appreciation, family and friends will make it less stressful. Their presence will make it indisputably tolerable. Having people around you is the greatest support you can ever have. I would say, do it with a selfish interest if you have to. Not implying that you should take undue advantage but atleast being there for others in need so that they would be for you, makes sense. There's always a give and take in this world, that's how it works. Yes, but don't take 80% when you are giving only 20%, things don't work that way either.

If the version of you in the past sees you in the future it would definitely be proud of you, so keep going, even if in the end it doesn't matter, for now, it does!
