Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter 7.

Yuga's mom came out of the consulting room. She looked at Nirav and Sameer sitting in a sombrely mood. Clearing her throat she said, "Doctor is talking to Yuga. She seems okay now".

"Good!", Sameer said. "I think you should leave now", Sameer added, looking at Nirav. 

The affront words made Nirav feel a bit offended. He wanted to know what had happened to Yuga. He wanted to talk to her. He had so many questions that weren't answered. But since Yuga was okay, he was fine with leaving too.

 "Are you her mother?" Nirav asked. "Yes beta", mom replied, looking at Nirav with a composed look. On hearing 'beta', Sameer looked at Yuga's mom with a tinge of surprise. She used the term for Yash, now Nirav, but had never called Sameer the same.

 Nirav turned to Sameer and asked, "How are you related to Yuga?". Sameer turned his gaze from Yuga's mom to Nirav, "I...I am Sameer, her friend, her childhood friend". The grin on Nirav's face made Sameer think unduly of it.

"Friend....okay. What do you do Sameer?", Nirav asked with the same grin.

 "I am into real estate", Sameer added, trying to overlook his grin.

"That's great! I was hunting for an office space. Can I get your number?", Nirav said to Sameer. 

That was an unexpected situation, Sameer reluctantly shared his number. Nirav gave him his visiting card. Bidding a goodbye to Yuga's mom, he left. Yuga's mom observed him till he ceased to be visible.

Mom asked for the card from Sameer and read aloud, "Nirav Sehgal, Owner, Navya Advertising.... Shiv Park... Off Main Road, Worli, Mumbai". Yuga was exiting the consulting room and she heard her mom. She grabbed the card and read again. 

"Where is he", Yuga asked as she looked around the lobby.

"Yoda, you feeling alright?", Sameer tried to dodge the question. He took the card from Yuga and kept it in his pocket. Yuga sat down on the chair in the lobby. "Yes I am alright. And sorry mom, I didn't tell you about Nirav. What should've I said? That I saw a man who looks like Yash and that's why, like a crazy teenager I ran towards him. Mom I knew he is not Yash, but yet again, I witlessly crossed the road and approached him. Why, after three years, when I had made peace with myself, why did this happen?", Yuga broke into tears.

"Yuga, he is not Yash. He is Nirav. Some Nirav Sehgal, who we don't even know! They say there are 7 similar looking faces in the world. Nirav is just a lookalike of Yash. You also said earlier, that he has a different voice. He is not Yash of course! Are you getting my point?", Sameer tried to console, at the same time influence her thoughts. 

Yuga's mom was listening to what Sameer said. She sat next to Yuga and brushing her back gently said, "Or he could be Yash....I mean..... may be a signal from God!".

"Aunty!", Sameer exclaimed in disbelief. Yuga's mom shifted her gaze down in silence. Sameer stood there flabbergasted.

  And 2024 ends..... What a roller coaster ride!  Every year passes by and the new year comes afore, leaving you with something and making you leave something.  It would be quite odd if time doesn't indoctrinate our minds. Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. She saw an old lady taking rounds, walking slowly, but with vigour. The tree was shedding it's aged golden leaves. One such tanned foliole fell beside Yuga on the bench. She picked it up and let it descend on the ground. She switched off the songs playing on her phone. With air pods in her ears, she sat inert on the bench. What's your plan?

 "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
