The character :


His eyes twinkled. He smiled softly and again made a straight face. Alora's heart skipped a beat. Her trance was broken and she swiftly started collecting her papers. She put them in the file and approached the table of the interviewers. She inhaled a deep breath to calm her heart.

Along with Armaan Sir, there was a male and a female interviewer too. 

"Please sit", the female interviewer said.

Alora sat on the chair placed in front of their table. She was nervous about the whole thing that was happening with her. "I'm still 17 at heart. What if I've time-travelled? How can I pass an interview for an engineering job?", Alora's soliloquy. 


"Miss Alora Patel. Please tell us more about yourself", the male interviewer said.

"I've completed my engineering from ABZ college. I played badminton during school and college. I've won trophies for the same. These are my credentials and certificates. I'm also an avid reader ", Alora was narrating whatever she had read in the file. She just hoped that she could somehow, get out of this strange situation.


"So Miss Alora, you like reading books", the female interviewer said.


"Yes, I'm an avid reader", Alora said and as she was speaking, reality dawned upon her. She glanced at Armaan Mehta. "Armaan Mehta!....Oh yes! He is that character in the book I was reading", she recalled.

She looked at him carefully. His looks described in the book, perfectly fitted his appearance. Not only his profession, but the name of the company was also the same. She then looked at the neatly arranged files in front of him. His water bottle was also perfectly aligned, while bottles of other interviewers were casually misaligned.

 "He sure is the perfectionist Armaan Mehta from that book. Even a crumb of toast doesn't go unseen from his sight. Who wipes clean his kitchen and the entire house...the same Armaan Mehta", thoughts flooded Alora's mind. 

"This is not just a time-travel, but the wormhole pulled me inside the book? How is this even possible?", Alora couldn't believe her thoughts.

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. She saw an old lady taking rounds, walking slowly, but with vigour. The tree was shedding it's aged golden leaves. One such tanned foliole fell beside Yuga on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
