 The birds started chirping as the dawn broke. Dharaa stretched her arms out of the cosy blanket. She sat up and suddenly recalled Prithvi's avowal of last night. She clutched the blanket and turned around. But was relieved to see that Prithvi wasn't on his bed. She heard people speaking so she walked to the other room near the lobby. 

We need to make ammendments in our plan, she heard Prithvi discussing with two junior agents. 

Good morning doctor, one of the agents said as he saw Dharaa standing in the lobby.

Prithvi turned around and smiled at Dharaa. Dharaa averted her gaze and rolled her eyes, left to right. She rushed back inside the room. Exhaling deeply she sat on the sofa, fidgeting with the blanket.

Why am I acting like a teenager?, Dharaa tapped her forehead. 

He seems better today. No wonder servicemen are built differently from civilians, she thought. 

Prithvi came in and asked, They are getting breakfast. What will you have? 

Anything will do, Dharaa answered avoiding any eye contact with him.

Prithvi left the room and came back after a few minutes. I'm feeling better today, thanks to you, he said.

Dharaa looked at him now. Prithvi pursed him lips, Thanks to your treatment is what I mean, he tried to be more precise. 

It's my duty, no need to thank me, Dharaa said, hesitantly. 

Last time you were irked when I left without saying thank you...so, Prithvi said.

Are you leaving?, Dharaa inquired in a bothered tone.

Not right now. But if I get orders, will have to act upon, Prithvi replied. 

You are not fully recovered. You need to rest more. I can't allow you to take risks in such a state, Dharaa sounded worried and authoritative at the same time. She held Prithvi's hand and gently brushed the spot where the IV track was injected. See there's a swelling due to inflammation here, she said.

Prithvi clasped her hand, Is it the doctor saying this or it's Dharaa?

Both!, Dharaa said and she withdrew her hand from his grip. Her blushed face was difficult for her to hide. 

Prithvi smiled, Have your breakfast first, I will drop you back then.

But I've already asked for two days of leave, Dharaa quickly said.

So you want to be with me for another day?, Prithvi looked at her with a grin.

Dharaa covered her mouth in embarrassment. She regretted her words. I will get ready. You don't need to drop me. You need to rest more, for atleast a day or two. My car is parked outside, I'll drive myself, Dharaa said sounding as casual as she could. 

Fine! But please take care. One of my agent will accompany you to the main road. I'm sorry, but according to the protocol he will blindfold you again, Prithvi said.

Dharaa nodded and went to freshen up.

She then reached her apartment and lightly brushed her face with her palm. She looked into the mirror, I'm just an ordinary looking woman? There's a line of people pursuing me really? Never had thought, someone would say this to me. I was always engrossed in my career, hence overlooked my feelings. I was so busy reading other's ECGs that there was no time for my racing heart. But with Prithvi, the flutter, the thumping, I just can't control it. Have I really fallen in love? But what about the hospital? He said there's some problem, also Sundar said the same yesterday. I need to look into it first. Love can wait, Dharaa thought and she got down from the car.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many.
