People are always watching, eyeing you. They judge you, they comment, they preach, but do they appreciate? Appreciation- keeps us going, wanting to do more.....A pat on our back, a 'good job' comment, a 'keep it up', a word of encouragement that's all we need to keep going, doing better- what we are doing, knowing that we are on the right track! The wheel of fortune spins - we wait for it to stop - & see 'what are luck' brings in. But I was always sure that I would get a ' better luck next time!'. This wheel, lottery is never for me. I never bought a lottery ticket coz I know I won't get any 'by chance' fortune. "God helps those who help themselves", yeah right!.... that has been my case, always. I missed my 10th grade board merit list by 7 marks. Yes, I should have studied a bit more. I lost my Govt. College seat to a reserved category student who had scored 50% less marks than me, in the 12th grade exams. Yes, again I could have been standing ahead of him, in the line, I guess! So to sum it up, this wheel thing is just not for me! So what, I do play it for fun. Who cares, win or lose? Sometimes life brings us at such crossroads that we need to be cautious & decide to opt the right road. Plumping for a path, randomly, would lead us nowhere. Knowing what ignites your passion, deciding, with your heart to guide you, 'will power' to make hard choices & resist excuses - this may lead to 'your' right path. But beware if you are not excited about it, its not the right path. Some roads may be misleading. They may shine as bright but may not be the best ones. Be Alert! In this journey, we meet several people, on our way. Buddies may be some, some just aquaintances, some come really close & will connect with you, some just not right ones to be with. I am not using the word 'enemy' here, people may be hostile, but why make enemies. I would rather ignore such hostility & move ahead! The more you give the more you get, have you heard of this? Giving money, donations, charity, thats it? No! What about time? What about things/ideas/views that ain't tangible/physical? Yes! time is money, we say. But giving/taking out time for somebody - our family, friends, thats precious than money. Your kids need your time, yes they do, in all walks of life. Your spouse needs your time, 'quality time'. Your parents need your time - just some inquiry about health not their's but yours! Some exchange of words - of love, care & happiness. Your friends need your time - to vent out whats on their mind, to share their joys & sorrows, to have a ear to hear! Giving time would be the 'zenith' of charity, I suppose. We all do live for ourselves but once in a while its fun & learning, to be part of some circle - spending quality time with them. If you give away money in charity, the needy ones will get some food, clothing etc, just once. But t...

Everybody wants a change in life, but not the trouble that comes with it. Change is always pleasing when - working continuously for days we always say, "I need a break", "I need a change of climate, place". In short a small vacation, which is always a bliss. But if we need a break from work and decide to change the mode of work or its nature, Oh! thats a challenge. This change would be risky, dicy, moreover reluctant, right? Change is only constant thing in this world! Yes, agree, totally. But many a times it involves sacrifices. We always want something better, more than what we have. But the hostile conditions, doing something new, afresh, different than what we do, scare us big time! Brave, ambitious people take a chance, overcome the fear, break the boundaries. They may succeed or fail with their bold decisions, but atleast they give it a try! To achieve something, to make certain changes you surely have to come out of your comfort zones. This said and...
