Sitting at the bedside of my son, in the hospital, watching him fight his pain after a surgery, I am impelled to think - where did he get this strength from? At this young age! How can he bear the throes? Is he really this strong? Is he doing so to make me feel less wearisome? Or is he a Braveheart? Yes, I know, he is fighting the odds! Fighting against the odds - you need support - firstly, it's your self confidence and secondly, it's the people around you - who you know, are always there, with you. They say that courage doesn't always roar, sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day, whispering - " I will try again tomorrow. Yes I will fight back!" It always seems impossible until its done, right? Despite the odds, through thick and thin, from being a disaster, you work to be a master. The waters may be high, there may be hardships, throu...

Working out early in the morning is always healthy, but every Monday morning brings along this temptation to sleep past your alarm. The winters tuck you more inside your quilts.... Ah! getting up early after conquering the temptation to sleep - is no doubt just like winning a battle! Now that you are working out... and you are doing your burpees...ah!...theres always this temptation to give up just as you pass the count of 15...you know that if you cross 20 and do it over again, you surely are gonna achieve that waist size....but your body tempts you to discount yourself off the pain. Now at this stage if you really give in, then the first 15 burpees are a waste....now theres a conflict going on in your mind...here you will have to look at the temptation in its eye and defeat it. Boommm you go and bullseye! Somehow you have pulled yourself together for exercising and keeping fit, now theres this pastry shop you pass by. Yet again your mind starts the war.... those tempting...

When you arrive at the end of a year, you tend to reflect on things and incidents that happened to you throughout the year. Then you start analzying the pluses and minuses. You feel - things should have been better, things should have been 'that' instead of 'this'. You regret doing certain things. 'What ifs' start popping in your head - What if I hadnt said that? , What if I hadnt been there? or Had been there? etc..etc... Even though all this goes on in your mind - always remember - that you have grown as a person this year. You have had your share of ups and downs - you have climbed mountains of tedious tasks and descended valleys of work loads. You have achieved your set of goals. Those moments werent invain. They all added up to your skillsets, added up to you knowing what not to do again, added up to you being a better person. What's more important is that you are 'breathing', you are 'living' and you are fit and fine. Be ...

Human tendency is to believe what we see and hear. Its the faith that distinguishes the individuals. If you have faith in things, no rumors, would change what you believe in. Faith is seeing light with your heart, when all your eyes can see, is darkness. They say faith can move mountains! Even when you dont see the whole staircase, faith is what makes you take the first step. Its the trust you put in - may be its God or a Godfather or any other unknown power you believe in...that makes you believe to move ahead. They had strong beliefs and they put in their faith - faith in fighting and winning over - and hence we are breathing freely today. I wish there was a time machine and I could time travel to revisit my past! Dont you all think so too sometimes? I miss being a little kid with no stress, worries or care in the world. I would love to revisit my childhood. I wish I could go back in my life - not to change anything but just relive fews things twice. I keep telling my kids - "you should go out and play more. Enjoy your childhood. Dont waste time infront of stupid screens. You have alot of energy, stamina, you have alot of enthusiam so just run, jump and play till you drop".  Ricky Schrodder rightly said - 'I spent my whole childhood wishing I were older and now I'm spending my adulthood wishing I were younger'. The other day I got a call from my Mavshi (Aunt). She likes reading my blogs, she said. But the view she shared with me gave me a different perspective to think.
