Part 1 - Ae dil hai mushkil!

"What's with this song, Sir?", Gargi laughed as she asked her Zumba instructor. "This is the latest one....it's a breakup song....very catchy number....perfect for today's dance routine", instructor replied.

"Oh really? A breakup song?", Gargi said to other girls in the class, showing her utmost dismay.

"Didn't you watch this new movie? The song's a hit.....Chalo chalo, let's practice, one two three...", instructor clapped catching the beat.

Later, in the evening, Gargi and her friends booked tickets for the movie's show. As she watched the song..."OMG! This Karan Johar has glamourised breakup too now....who goes to a club to celebrate a breakup ya? And what's with this headphones and dance, it's a breakup...If you love someone, shouldn't you be sad over a breakup? I wouldn't be so elated..... ", Gargi was in total disagreement.



Year 2018....


Gargi and Gautam were getting engaged. Gargi looked fabulous in that peach lehenga. She had spent hours shopping for it. Finally, she had got it tailor-made from a boutique, as she didn't want to settle on a ready-made one, which wasn't as per her choice. It had golden sequences, but she wanted silver ones. Ready-made lehenga had a flare - like a skirt, but she wanted a fish-cut. So all in all, Gargi was very precise on what she wanted. And she dazzled, in that carefully chosen lehenga, with her perfectly done hair-bun, shinny dangling jhumkas and that impeccable makeup.

Her friends were in awe when they saw her. "Gargi, you look beautiful! Gautam toh flat hone wala hai tumhe dekh kar", they teased her.

Gautam, a dashing, ambitious, young man, had joined Gargi's office in 2017. He assisted Gargi on her projects at first. With Gargi's help, he had soon climbed up the hierarchical ladder. He started sharing the same job profile as Gargi and within no time, became her immediate boss.

But Gargi was happy for him, as she had fallen head over heels, literally a love at first sight case.

Gautam had sensed this and confessed to her. Soon they started dating.

A well organised, particular woman, Gargi, often gave up, in a situation that involved Gautam. She had sacrificed her clients, her priorities, many a times overlooked his mistakes. She knew she was much more experienced and deserving than Gautam, yet she kept stepping down, for the sake of love.


Gautam was looking dapper in that off-white Sherwani. Gautam winked at her. Gargi smiled at him, as they both stepped onto the stage. Gautam went on his knees, just like a film's hero does, to put the ring  on Gargi. Gargi, covered half of her face coyly with her right hand and put forth her left hand. Both of them got engaged. All the guests started coming up on the stage to click pictures with the 'soon-to-be' bride and groom.

And suddenly Gargi slapped Gautam. There was pin drop silence and everything came to a standstill in few minutes.

Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
