Tune into Love : 6. Someday, someway, together we'll be.

 Neha caught a cab to reach the hospital in time. Her phone rang, she picked it up, it was Neil. "You didn't answer my text", he said. "Will call you later, can't talk right now", she said. "Take me to the City hospital", she told the cab driver and hung up her phone.


"In my search for freedom and peace of mind,

I've left the memories behind, 

Wanna start a new life

But it seems to be rather absurd,

When I know the truth is that I always think of you....". (song by Michael learns to rock (MLTR)).

Such was the condition of her mind.


She cleared her thoughts, took a deep breath and focused on task at her hand, her father's health. Her dad, from past four years, was admitted in the hospital. He was paralysed after her mom died. Neha was struggling hard to pay hospital expenses and manage her accounts. Like the party she attended the other day, she used to rarely splurge on herself. But if she hadn't spend sometime like so, she would've gone gaga.


She reached the hospital, bolted to her dad's ward. It was a general ward, she couldn't afford any better. The nurse was standing with a bowl of soup in hand by her dad's bedside. Tears were running down her dad's eyes. Neha wiped his tears and hugged her dad. Dad hadn't spoke to her for four years now. All he could do is cry, for he had seldom smiled after wife's death. Neha knew that he was feeling sorry for her. Because whenever her dad refused to eat, it was when, he couldn't bear the guilt anymore. 

She took the soup bowl from the nurse and started feeding her dad. The nurse said that she hadn't seen a child so dedicated for ailing parent. 

Dad's drenched eyes were filled with remorse and she could sense it. Her dad, with trembling hand and much toil, touched her head, as if blessing Neha. His eyes saying "That's all I can do for you". 

Neha suppressed her emotions and bridled her tears. She had to be strong, for her dad.


She put her dad to sleep and flumped on the chair next to him. She looked outside the window, the yellow leaves from trees were falling down, with the gentle breeze.

Her phone rang again. It was Neil's number. There were 4 missed calls. She didn't pick up. 


"The love we had together just fades away in time,

And now you've got your own world and I guess I've got mine,

But the passion that you planted in middle of my heart, 

Is a passion that will never stop...."


Neha told the nurse that she's leaving for office and to call her instantly, if there's anything again.


She reached the lobby and Neil was standing right there. He had overheard Neha saying 'City hospital' to the cab driver.


Neha couldn't apprehend the situation, should she be happy or disregard. 


But Neil's eyes said something else....


"Someday, someway, together we'll be baby,

I will take and you'll take your time,

We'll wait for our fate, cause nobody owns us baby,

We can shake, we can shake the rock!".

  And 2024 ends..... Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. She saw an old lady taking rounds, walking slowly, but with vigour. The tree was shedding it's aged golden leaves. One such tanned foliole fell beside Yuga on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
