Neha had just returned from the office. She freshened up and sat at her study table to read her book. The bookmark had gathered dust on it. She smirked to pity herself, that she hadn't found time to even open a book since months now.

She was so caught in juggling chores that she didn't have moment of leisure.

She took out the bookmark to clean it. It had two shades of blue, the blue of sky and blue of sea. The blue made her think of Neil and instantly her phone buzzed.

The name flashed 'Serendipity'. Neha smiled and picked up the phone.

"How are you Neha?", Neil inquired.

"I am fine", Neha answered.

Neil laughed, "Let's not be so formal. You've your day off tomorrow right?.

"Yes, it's Sunday", Neha said.

"So if you are free, can we meet?, Neil asked enthusiastically.

Neha restricting her giggle said, "Yes we can". She was more than happy and wanted to say that she was looking forward to meeting him. That she had decided to take a step ahead, towards him.

But she couldn't express it all over the phone. She thought of saying it face to face.

They decided time and place to meet. Neha was in a cheerful mood. Even after hanging up the phone, she kept looking at it for sometime. It was really a serendipity for her, to be able to meet Neil after so many years.

Neha couldn't sleep all night in anticipation. She got up early to decide what to wear for her first ever supposedly, date...."Was it really?", she thought and shyly covered her face. She got ready and took a cab to reach the venue.

Neil had already arrived at the café they had decided to meet.

The song by Richard Marx was playing in the café....

"Oceans apart day after day

And I slowly go insane,

I hear your voice on the line

But it doesn't stop the pain,

...If I see you next to never

How can we say forever,

Wherever you go, Whatever you do,

I'll be right here waiting for you....."

Neil was alarmed by the song a bit, so he casually called Neha. He was happy to see 'My destiny' flashing on the screen. But his expressions changed when Neha didn't pick. He called her a few times again, but her phone kept ringing.

"Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks,

I'll be right here waiting for you....", the song continued to play.

Neil was getting restless now. What could've happened to her? Why isn't she picking? Is she renouncing me or did she never want to meet me? Thousands of questions nagged him.

"I took for granted, all the times

That I thought would last somehow,

I hear the laughter, I taste the tears,

But I can't get near you now...."

Neil couldn't bear it anymore, he rushed to Neha's dorm. But the warden said that she had left since an hour now. "She has left, then why isn't she picking up her phone", Neil's soliloquy. Neil surged his hand through his hair and got all worked up.

"Oh can't you see it baby,

You've got me going crazy....

Whatever it takes or how my heart breaks,

I'll be right here waiting for you...".

Neil sat on the bench at the bus stop near the dorm, waiting for Neha, in case she comes back. But at the back of his mind, he was on the horns of a dilemma.

"I wonder how we can survive, this romance,

But in the end if I'm with you, I'll take the chance,

Wherever you go, Whatever you do,

I'll be right here waiting for you.....".
