The thrill :
Just when she thought that the bizzare dream was over, it had started again. She couldn't understand what was real and what was an illusion? The lines were getting blurry. "What's going on with me?", she thought.
Jia looked excited. They were celebrating in a restaurant. Alora told Jia that she had to use the restroom. It was just an excuse, Alora went to the restroom. She looked into the mirror, washed her face and looked again. Nonetheless, she was still not back to 2020. Nothing seemed clear.
She stepped outside the restroom dabbing her hands with tissue paper, and dashed into someone. "Sorry", she said and lifted up her head. "Armaan Mehta!", she babbled. She couldn't believe her eyes.
"Hey! Miss Alora. You okay?", Armaan smiled. He brushed his light beard, folded the handkerchief that was in his hands neatly and put it inside his pocket. He adjusted his watch and aligned the cuffs properly. He looked into Alora's eyes.
The twinkle in his eyes, invariably, brought changes to her ECG, every time. She was at a loss of words. She scanned him from head to toe and then regretted doing it, instantly. As it seemed obvious and improper, even if it was a dream. She lowered her gaze quickly.
"So are you excited to join our team?", Armaan asked with a grin.
His deep voice was something Alora had never imagined while reading the character. But it was something that could be fancied, for sure.
"I'm looking forward to it....Sir", Alora replied. "And we are celebrating it too", she pointed towards the dining area, in elation.
"Oh! So you are here with friends?....Or boyfriend?", Armaan sounded inquisitive.
"With my best buddy....I don't have a boyfriend, as yet", Alora replied impulsively, and then, habitually, repented saying 'as yet'. She face palmed herself and acted as if wiping her face.
Armaan smirked and said, "Well then, I'm looking forward too!".
"Okay!", Alora replied.
"What okay? What is he looking forward to? Working with me....or the boyfriend part? He didn't specify....looking forward to what Armaan?....", Alora kept pondering while Armaan left the scene.
"What took you so long? Let's have dinner, I'm hungry Alora", Jia tugged Alora and made her sit.
Alora glanced throughout the restaurant but she couldn't see Armaan around. "Has he left?", Alora mumbled.
"Who has left?", Jia looked at Alora and then towards the door.
"Ar.....no one. Let's order the main course", Alora changed the topic.
Armaan's image kept lingering in front of her eyes throughout the dinner.
"Even if it's a dream, I'm enjoying it. And if it's reality...then...it's just as thriling!", Alora smiled as she thought.
