Clocks ticking!

Image
"An inch of time is an inch of gold, but you cant buy that inch of time with an inch of gold" - so goes a Chinese proverb. Yes, time is money they say - which is true ofcourse! Time is a thing that most of us take for granted. When things are all good and everythings in place, we never value this time. We are relaxed and dont care much. But when time changes - we get worried - all worked up and complain 'how we are short of time'. We are all going to die - stop wasting time - I know its too harsh a line, but we have to understand this well, in time - time is precious. The theory of relativity - when we are with our loved ones, time isnt enough. But when we are on a hot burner - we wonder when the time would be up. Holds true in any age and time. Time is no doubt free but at the same time its priceless! Dont waste it. Even if we believe that everything comes to us at the right time - but we need to use our time properly. Make your time count. When we sa...

Your point of view!

While watching a new drama series recently, I came across a very fresh and engaging plot. It sort of gives me an 'adrenaline rush' to watch the episodes. A murder mystery, a thriller, a romantic side to it, a chaos of relationships ( But not the regular boring Saas-Bahu - Saga, obviously!), a world of ups and downs, topsy -turvy twists in the story.... Ah! I am loving it! As a blogger, nowadays I have a new point of view while watching or reading stories.....What exactly the writer must have thought? How exactly he must have got this idea? How could he imagine this twist? Going through the tangled and messy conversations of characters, their beautiful dialogues and unique feeling you get after hearing them. Your heart skips a beat when you hear something like - "The time I needed to fall in love - it was only 0.2 second. Its the love you fall in - love at first sight"... Your heart aches when you hear the 'lead' in an emotional scene say "Studying ...

The Aftermath!

Image
Stories of war are heard by us for ages now. The passion, the valour, the bravery, the strategy - with which a war is fought - tales of which keep echoing through the surroundings for ages to come. But when the war ends - one side wins the other side loses. The battles won, are gloriously narrated. The heroes are felicitated and their endless praises are sung. But what about 'The Aftermath'? Not only the losing but also the winning side has to face it! Bloodshed, people losing loved ones, loss to property, infrastructure and beautiful belongings. Its chaos - a mess - emotional stress. People suffer for ages to reconcile with life again. These chronicles aint appealing enough to be told. They are experienced by people, forcibly. They remain silently scarred in the hearts of agonised. Not only wars, but, also natural calamities leave us with awful aftermath. We are left disheartened. The life routine totally gets upset. People are left - homeless, suffering and find it...

Kinfolk!

Image
When i hear this word 'kinfolk' - the first thing that comes to my mind is 'sibling'. Having a sibling in your life is like a cornerstone - always a firm support. Since childhood you have this wonderful companion with you. You share more than a thing with your sibling. Sometimes you cant express your feelings, you cant tell whats on your mind to your parents, but a sibling's ear is eager and waiting to hear you. You are comfortable sharing all that and much more with them. They dont just share a bloodline with you but also connect with your emotinal side. If you have an elder sibling you have a solid foothold, a strong protector. You have a guide who can share their experiences and warn you ahead of time to make sure you dont face similar challenges and ease your journey. If you have a younger sibling you have a die hard follower, an admirer, a disciple. Even if your sibling is younger to you, they still help you out with advises, ideas and a fresh and yo...

Make Enthusiasm Contagious!

Image
When you step out of a theatre, after watching a movie or play - connecting with it - relating with it - throughout, you get inspired by the characters, their life, their energy, their messages. You become enthusiastic about implementing those in your everyday experiences. Now you go out and share this enthusiasm with your family and friends and aquaintances. And the chain starts! This example I have given, is just 'one of' many things that triggers our enthusiam. Our warmth, passion, eagerness and excitement for what we do spills over into all parts of our lives and positively affects the people around us. When we see an enthusiastic person our brain automatically sends us signal and theres a smile on our face. Yes Enthusiasm is Contagious! And try to make it so, even purposely. As parents when we pass on enthusiam to our children - we are actually leaving behind something more valuable than just the 'estate' or 'property'. As friends while we upli...

Celebrations!

"The more you celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate" - Oprah Winfrey. There are hundreds of reasons why we celebrate and rejoice. We celebrate birthdays, naming ceremonies, festivals, marriages, new years, success, wins. Everyone has his own way of celebrating. Some people like lavish parties, some like to drink and eat, some like to go on vacations, some like it low key. You opt for anyway to celebrate, but the important thing is 'jubilation'. Say aloud that you are happy, tell the world the reason for the frolic. Celebrate every tiny victory! Celebrating is also a way to say Thankyou - to the people responsible and to the opportunities life gives you. Celebrating is showing gratitude. sharing your happiness with others so that it multiplies further. Celebration is also a way to make memories. You celebrate with your family and friends, you chat, you eat together, dance and make merry, you click pictures - you cherish these moments for a...

Writing - An art form!

Image
Writing for me is an art form - that vents out my thoughts - speaks aloud - lets others know what I want to put across - expresses my emotions - clears my mind - And in the process helps me lighten the burden on my heart! There is no wrong or right - you just have to write. Write what you think. Not always is it easy to talk and emote - so writing comes to our rescue. They say "there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you" - so pen down line by line and tell the tale. If you want to make people remember - write down what shoudnt be forgotten. Words are the most inexhaustible treasure we have. They create magic when they are alligned properly on an piece of paper. When we write - we write about what is heard and also about what isnt. We have to patiently listen to what others aint saying and interpret it into a narrative. You can change the world, people's perspective, with your write-ups. Yes! Pen is mightier than the Sword. Sometime...
