Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter 10.

 There was a knock on the cabin's door. "Yes, come in", Sameer said. 

"Wow! What an exquisite space it is!", Nirav said, as he entered Sameer's cabin. "And this view is amazing. Look Navya, you can see the blue ocean from here", Nirav pointed towards the full length glass windows. 

Nirav shook hands with Sameer, while Sameer curiously looked at the little girl accompanying Nirav. 

"Hello! Ah! She's Navya. Say hi to uncle beta", Nirav said. Navya greeted Sameer.

"Hi Navya. Oh yes, Navya Advertising. So she is....", Sameer was about to ask further and Navya shouted, "Look Dadda how small the cars are". 

Sameer looked at Navya and back to Nirav. 

"Yes beta", Nirav replied. 

Sameer asked Nirav to be seated.

"Well, Sameer I said we should meet in person because I wanted to discuss few things. I want an office space but along with it, I want a small space something like a play area in it", Nirav was explaining his needs to Sameer. 

Sameer's mind once again started playing games. He thought of texting Yuga and making some excuse for her to come to his office. So that she could see Nirav with his daughter. And that could be a closure to this connection before it develops further. "Nirav is married. Yuga should see this with her own eyes. Yes, let's do it Sameer", Sameer's soliloquy. So covertly he sent a message to Yuga while talking to Nirav. "SOS, need a lunch partner", he texted.

Sameer coughed up and rubbing his nose said, "Yes, so what are your criteria? What should I focus on?".

"My current office is rented and moreover, it's far from my home. So it becomes a hassle for me to keep travelling. Navya is just 5, so she goes to school for merely 2 to 3 hours. We have a nanny for her but then I don't like her to be alone without family for long time. And I am in a business where clients call in meetings anytime. Attending meetings over video calls is not always possible. I cannot take Navya with me every time. Hence I need a bigger office, which can accommodate a play area for her. It would be better if she is in front of my eyes", Nirav said, brushing Navya's head.

"Okay fair enough", Sameer said as he typed something on his iPad. "I will need more inputs", he added and put his iPad down. "Navya do you like cookies?", Sameer asked as he dialled his receptionist.

Navya nodded her head in a yes. 

"Please send two coffees and some chocolate cookies", Sameer said over the phone. "Hope coffee is fine, Nirav?", Sameer asked. "Yes, thankyou", Nirav said.

The receptionist came in with coffee and cookies. Sameer handed over a cookie to Navya. 

Navya looked at Nirav and when he nodded, Navya happily took the cookie, "Thankyou", she said and grabbed a bite.

Navya finished her cookie and was cheerfully strolling around the cabin. As Nirav and Sameer were discussing, she suddenly she came out of the cabin opening the door quietly.

"Your lunch partner is here", Yuga was about to knock the door of the cabin, when she saw a little girl coming out. Her two cute pony tails and her cuter smile melted Yuga's heart.

Yuga was about to talk when Navya grasped Yuga's leg and looked up. Yuga shifted her gaze down, their eyes met and Navya gave a big smile. Yuga's face beamed as she patted Navya's head. Navya asked Yuga to hold her hand and take her inside the cabin.

Not finding Navya in the cabin, Nirav got up from his chair to look for her. Yuga and Navya entered the cabin, holding hands. Navya smiled at Nirav and he smiled back, more of a smile of relief. 

Yuga looked pretty in a white salwar-kameez with yellow and green floral design. She had let her hair open and the loose ends of the hair were falling on her cheeks. The oxidised jewellery she wore was a classy match to her outfit. Her eyes sparkled as she tucked away the hair strands.

Yuga?", Nirav exclaimed as he glanced at her from head to toe.

"Nirav!", Yuga was astound. Yuga looked at Nirav and then to Sameer. 

Her eyes questioned Sameer of what was this all about. Sameer was dazed, had he messed up the situation or did he do the right thing?

  And 2024 ends..... What a roller coaster ride!  Every year passes by and the new year comes afore, leaving you with something and making you leave something.  It would be quite odd if time doesn't indoctrinate our minds. Moira : Bound to happen! Chapter - 1.

She was sitting on the bench under the huge tree. Its extensive branches covered few more benches around. The park was a hangout place for teenagers. It was a playground for children and a perfect site for the exercise enthusiasts. People jogged, wearing headphones, determined to shed those extra kilos and be fitter, sticking to their new year resolutions, was a familiar sight here.  Yuga wasn't feeling the vibe today. She had left home as usual, early in the morning, in her tracks and tee to run a few miles, but after three rounds she just sat down on the bench. She saw an old lady taking rounds, walking slowly, but with vigour. The tree was shedding it's aged golden leaves. One such tanned foliole fell beside Yuga on the bench. She picked it up and let it descend on the ground. She switched off the songs playing on her phone. With air pods in her ears, she sat inert on the bench.  "You've to score good grades at school!" "You've to do your Olympiads!" "You need to have a co-curricular activity or some sports activity!" "You should be able to dance or sing or play a musical instrument!" Oh my my! So much pressure on these little one's learning to adapt and traverse the lanes and by lanes of this complicated world. "But its a rat race! He/she needs to figure it out sooner. Studies, career, universities, the stress builds up as they advance into their grades (classes), isn't it?" Yes, true. It's a tough task for the coming generations. Population is ever increasing. Even though the colleges and courses are increasing in numbers but we have no say on the quality of education they impart. Also the leading universities and colleges are always the first priority, obviously. So the newbies are looked down upon. Also the reservations hinder the paths of many. Well, so what score is a good enough score...
